There's no better place to run a race in Texas in April than Wimberley! The Wimberley 4 includes both a 4 mile run and a 3K walk, so you can bring the whole family. In it's third year, the W4 event is run on a loop course that begins in front of Wimberley HIgh School and runs straight into "downtown" Wimberley before taking a turn to run right alongside the beautiful, Cypress tree lined Blanco River. The course then cuts back up along a peaceful country road setting, ending with a "victory" lap on the track in Texan Stadium. There's loads of volunteer support, lots of refreshments, great awards, plenty of food at the finish line and wonderful, live entertainment. Following the event take in the 2nd Annual Wimberley Arts Fest, right down in the town "square", along beautiful Cypress Creek. You might even want to consider staying at one of the many bed & breakfasts so you can really kick back and enjoy the quaint quiet of Wimberley! The W4 benefits Wimberley High School's Project Graduation.
