While the Saturday ride is strictly for fun, you are invited to test your endurance against our South Texas winds. Also, fun family activities are being planned, inlcuding a trolley tour of Harlingen, so bring the whole famility.

Three NEW routes—20, 36 or 67 miles. Each route provides a hilly ride complemented by some flats. The ride starts at 8 am and the last route sweep is at 2 pm

The rides are fully supported and routes vary from 20 to 100 miles in length to suit every riding taste. This year, in addition to three days of riding, we will offer a Saturday night dinner with entertainment by Texas musician Jimmy Lee Jones and all-you-can-eat breakfasts available at the Schreiner University on all three days.

Routes of 25, 45, & 62 miles. The terrain is easy rolling hills in farmland NE of Austin. Wind is guaranteed.

Routes of 12, 23,36 & 62 miles

The courses wind through some picturesque sites, including an old country church. SAG stops will offer bikers a chance to stop and view many years of local history -- an added historic and pastoral dimension for those who like to “stop and smell the flowers”. We hope you will enjoy these special interests while you bike through our rural countryside.

The plan right now is for this to be a fully supported brevet (California style) if we can get the volunteers to staff it. If not, we will revert back to the bare bones method. The rider check-in will be open from 6:00-7:00am. You must have a helmet. A tail light and a head light are required if you cannot finish before dark. There will be a bag drop for lights at the start. The course is mostly rolling hills, so there is not a lot of climbing, but the wind can be a factor at this time of year. The ride officially ends at 2am, so riders have 17 hours to complete the ride. If you think you will be near the back, you need to plan to be riding in the dark for 5 to 7 hours.

A 25 mile tour that passes more than 30 historical, cultural & scenic points of interest. The groups will stay together at a relaxed 12 mile pace. This ride will NOT be held in inclement weather due to flooding of the route.

This event starts at the historic LBJ ranch which is being fully opened up to public for the first time this year. The rides include 10, 31, 45 mile loops as well as a 100 kilometer (62 mile) metric century.

Participants and spectators alike will be treated to a memorable bike ride to kickoff Fiesta activities. Route distances will range from 23-100miles. All routes considered to be flat or with rolling hills

For The Red Poppy Ride, an enjoyable spring bike ride of 14, 30, 45, or 62 miles on beautiful country roads through picturesque Williamson County. After The Red Poppy Ride, enjoy The Red Poppy Festival in Historic Downtown Georgetown.

There is a route for everyone. The main route is ~ 50 miles through the winding back roads of the beautiful Texas Hill Country. There is also a shorter 10 mile loop that allows you to choose your distance, and an Olympic Extension off the main route, which adds an additional ~ 20 miles. The route is fully supported, with Pit Stops every 15 to 20 miles, and SAG support all along the route. All levels, from very beginners to serious cyclists, have fun on the Hill Country Ride for AIDS.

It’s time for the annual pedal from Austin to Shiner, Texas! So, tune up your bikes and get ready for one of the most unique cycling events in Texas! Join thousands of cyclists as they depart from Austin and ride 90 miles through small towns and scenic byways to the historic Spoetzl Brewery in Shiner, Texas

Ride Like A Pro! Join us for this unique experience as we ride in peloton formation around the entire perimeter of Loop 1604 in San Antonio. For 96 miles we will be provided a motorcycle escort by the San Antonio Police Department. This event takes place on Loop 1604...not the access road! Traffic will be held at both entrance and exit ramps as we pass. Don't miss this opportunity to ride ultra smooth roads in a protected enclosure! All riders provided in route food and fluid replacement from moving SAG wagon. If you need temporary assistance there will also be SAG support to transport you back to the group. Peloton will finish the ride in approximately five hours, thereby traveling an average of 20mph.

The best kept secret in Texas cycling, the Rolling Hills Challenge offers cyclists some of the most picturesque, yet challenging bike routes in South Central Texas. The gentle hills of Colorado and Fayette Counties offer cyclists a unique setting. Cyclists will also discover very little vehicle traffic on the routes. Stops are available about every 15 miles along the route with refreshments and portable toilets. 25, 50, 62.5 and 100 Mile Routes.

The challenge is your choice! You can ride a 15 mile family fun ride which loops back to the start line or you can ride a 50 or 80 mile route to Texas State University. On day two, the route options include a 25 mile, 55 mile, and 80 mile route to Akins High School at 10701 South 1st Street in South Austin. You can ride one day or two days, your choice! Either way, you are guaranteed a safe, supported ride through the scenic back roads of the Hill Country.

Admission includes after pary with live music, barbeque and real ale. 85, 65, 50, 30, & 15 mile courses.

Course distance options include a 70 mile route & 50 mile route. Riders will enjoy beautiful views, gently rolling hills, and wildlife of the Tx hill country.

Rides of 10, 22, 28, 42, 55 & 75 miles. All on paved two-lane farm-to-market roads, and country highways with wide shoulders. The routes have some flat runs, long stretches with gradual inclines, and some hills that could be challenging for less experienced or less fit riders. Also be sure to check the special route for youngsters 10 and under. It's very safe and carefully monitored. They'll be able to do their thing — with a little help from Mom or Dad!

There will be four rider levels (12 mile, 22 mile, 44 mile and 66 mile).

The "trails" (Yes, they're paved road routes, Wrangler) took riders through historic areas surrounding La Vernia, including Wilson, Bexar and Guadalupe Counties, depending on the length of the ride. "Trail" maps were distributed the day of the ride. We reckon they'll be about the same in 2008 cuz y'all said ya liked 'em last year!

3-day, 210 Miles Central Texas – LaGrange to Austin October 17-19 2008 Begin in historic LaGrange and ride to Austin through a variety of landscapes, including expansive ranchlands, the Lost Pines, and the Guadalupe River and Hill country during wildflower season.

There are 3 levels of rides being offered again this year: a 25 mile cruise, a 65 mile ride and a second 65 mile ride including the “Toughest 18 Miles in Texas" Time Trial.

65 mile ride starts at 7:30am* 25 mile ride starts at 8:00am *the Toughest 18 Miles in Texas Time Trial will be held on Mustang & Padre Island, within the 65 mile ride

The Routes 10-mile family friendly route goes through beautiful Cameron Park and downtown Waco. There are several rest stops to make it a fun ride for all. 26-mile route is also fun for families and recreational riders. This route is quite flat and passes by the Lake Waco Dam and the peaceful surrounding countryside. 50 & 65-mile routes are relatively flat with a few challenging hills thrown in to keep you from getting bored! 100-mile Presidential Tour takes riders on scenic roads throughout McLennan County. It passes by the Western White House, and through the oldest state park in Texas, Mother Neff Park. Although fairly flat, there are some hills to get your heart pumping! Again this year, the 50, 65 and 100-mile routes feature a rest stop at the Mars Snackfood candy factory, home of Skittles®

The Pineywoods Purgatory - fall's premier cycling event - offers four rides ranging from 25 to 102 miles that take you through Texas Forest Country's best! Don't let the first few miles fool you - the terrain is not without challenge! And to cap off your ride, the Lufkin Host Lions Club and its cadre of volunteers and partners offer unmatched hospitality to riders and their guests. Route choices include 34, 52, 68 and 94 miles with well-stocked rest stops about every 10 miles.

Ride Distances: 29, 45, 60 and 80 miles Great scenery! Great exercise! All but the 29 mile ride take you to the top of “The Wall” a 3/10 of a mile stretch with a hill grade of almost 19% at its steepest. The view of miles of beautiful vistas is worth the effort.

Be among the first to join the inaugural ride of the Tour du Rouge from the Bayou City to the Crescent City. This six-day, push-your-limits ride along the Gulf Coast will be limited to 300 riders. But it won't all be hard work, each night you will enjoy good food and entertainment with your fellow riders.

Each year, the Round Rock Parks and Recreation Department hosts the Outlaw Trail 100 bike tour featuring 10 mile, 25 mile, 40 mile, 50 mile, 63 mile, 100 K and 100 mile loop courses on county roads through historic Williamson County.

Come enjoy our rich heritage and the beautiful landscapes found where the Guadalupe and San Marcos rivers meet. Rolling hills, oak-strewn fields and winding rivers serve as the backdrop for this unique family ride.

Ride like the pros! This event is a non stop rolling peloton ride around loop 1604 in San Antonio TX. Ride escorted by SAPD and fully supported by SAG. Ride is appoximately 100 miles and speed will average 20mph. Post ride pizza provided for all riders. Experience a ride like no other!

Distances: 15, 30, 45 & 65 miles. Rain or shine.

The Sweatin’ Burnt Orange Bike Tour will again include routes from 10 to 80 miles weaving through the Texas Hill Country. The 80 mile route includes a stop in the famous Luckenbach Texas and all routes feature challenging hills and beautiful vistas. It’s an incredible Texas riding experience that’ll leave you Sweatin’ Burnt Orange!

Please join the Aransas Pass Chamber of Commerce, our sponsors and the youth of Aransas Pass and surrounding communities on a fast and fun ride around the scenic Coastal Bend area. There will be rest stops along the way.

Three bike routes and one walking tour are offered The Family Tour pedals along the San Antonio River on the historic Mission Trails from Mission Concepcion to Mission Espada. The route is principally on hike and bike paths with opportunities to visit four of the five Spanish Missions. A 15 mile option meets BSA merit badge requirements. Extended Tours continue beyond the Mission Trails along city and county roads toward Braunig Lake. The 34 mile route proceeds past Mission Espada onto Hwy 181 to Braunig Lake Old Corpus Christi Hwy and back. The 58 mile route continues south on Old Corpus Christi Hwy through the community of Elmendorf to 1604 and along "El Camino Real" (Spanish Colonial Royal Road) and around Calaveras Lake to north on Hwy 181 and back to start. The Walking Tour is a five mile round trip that includes a loop on the Mission Trail from Mission County Park to Mission San Jose to Espada Dam Park and back.
